Aussie Dreams Migration ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains how we collect, use, hold and disclose your personal information when you use our website or our migration services.
We are a Registered Migration Agent (MARN 1574327) bound by the OMARA Code of Conduct.
1. What personal information we collect
- Identity and contact details (name, date of birth, nationality, email, phone).
- Migration-related information (passport, visa history, qualifications, work history, family details, health and character information when required for a visa application).
- Payment information processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe).
- Technical data when you visit our website (IP address, device, browser, pages visited) and cookie preferences — see our Cookie Policy.
2. How we collect it
Directly from you (forms, consultations, email, phone, WhatsApp), from third parties you authorise (employers, education providers, sponsors), or automatically when you browse our website.
3. Why we collect and use it
- To provide migration advice and lodge visa applications on your behalf.
- To communicate with you about your matter and our services.
- To issue invoices and process payments.
- To comply with our legal obligations under the Migration Act 1958 and the OMARA Code of Conduct.
- To improve our website and services.
4. Disclosure to third parties
We may disclose your personal information to: the Australian Department of Home Affairs, ImmiAccount and other government agencies as required for your application; our payment processor (Stripe); our hosting and email providers; and professional advisers (legal, accounting). We do not sell your personal information.
5. Overseas disclosure (APP 8)
Some of our service providers may store data on servers located outside Australia (including the United States and the European Union). Where this occurs we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles your information in line with the APPs.
6. How we store and secure it
We hold information in secure electronic systems with access controls and encryption in transit. We retain client files for the period required by the OMARA Code of Conduct (currently 7 years from the conclusion of the matter) and then destroy or de-identify them.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- request access to the personal information we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate or out-of-date information;
- withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time;
- make a complaint about how we have handled your information.
